Role & Responsability

We are looking for a mid Product Owner join our BAU team and become a regional expert in our strategic technology platform, built in C++, C# and Java and servicing our regional client base within the Insurance industry. As well as ensuring we successfully position the platform within a complex industrial technology environment and our broader platform capabilities to our internal teams, customers and prospects. The role reports into our Business Team.

Main Tasks

• Working in the development of the roadmap – working within an agile framework and working alongside our regional development teams.
• Manage an area of the Product Backlog as delegated by the Business Team.
• Understand and explain the opportunities presented by Innovation Group.
• Experience writing Epics, User Stories and articulating the vision of the those journeys to the scrum team within refinements.
• Work closely with our regional business teams to help define modern operating models and processes related to your product stream, relevant to their operations but also in line with our strategic positioning on automated, digital and self-service technology.
• Expertly position and demo our solutions, while highlighting the ease of use and configuration options of the platform.
• Help customers understand the capabilities of the applications, and how they can extend Innovation Group beyond its core functionality.
• Work alongside our Scrum Masters to manage in sprint impediments and align of better ways of working within the Scrum framework.

Experience / Know-How

• Previous experience as a technical professional, product manager or product owner or another role where technical, commercial and interpersonal skills are required.
• Demonstratable evidence of creating a market leading product with customers consuming it.
• Experience and mentoring managing staff.
• Self-motivated with an entrepreneurial mindset.
• Demonstrable curiosity, with a specific personal interest in technical problem solving and providing creative, best-in-class technical customer support.
• Experience of working within an international team.

Educational attainment

• Certified CSPO or SAFe Product management.
• Educated to degree level.

Knowledge and Skills

• Demonstrable understanding of modern financial practices and technology.
• An understanding of cloud technologies – ideally Microsoft Azure.
• Excellent data analytics skills, including experience of statistical methods and tools.
• Curious, positive and have the ability to inspire others around you, as well as the drive to help them be the best they can be.
• Excellent collaboration skills that have demonstrated positive results.
• Adaptable with the ability to influence.
• Ability to work on own as well as part of a team.
