An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Senior Software Developer to join our Technology team based in Sandton, Johannesburg. The role will focus on analysing business requirements and, in turn, develop, test and document high quality software that meets the business requirements.

Experience

• A minimum of 5 years development experience
• Experience in the following technologies & design patterns:
  • C#.NET
  • .NET Winforms
  • VB.NET
  • NET Framework 3.5 and 4.0 & 4.5+
  • SQL
  • Web services
  • ASP.Net.
  • T-SQL
  • SQL 2000 - 2012
  • SQL Stored Procedures
  • SSIS and DTS Packages
  • Windows Service Applications
  • JavaScript
  • MVC
• Experience in using and managing source control systems such as Subversion and TFS
• Experience in working in an AGILE Development environment

Responsibilities

• Design, write, update, and maintain computer programs or software packages to handle specific jobs, such as performing calculations, storing or retrieving data, or controlling other equipment
• Compile and write documentation of program development and subsequent revisions, inserting comments in the coded instructions so others can understand the program
• Consult with Operations and Development Manager if there is any impact on the income within other business units.
