We are currently recruiting for an Executive Technology to join our technology team based in Sandton, Johannesburg. The main focus of the role is to formulate technology strategy and ensure plans are in place to enable delivery of technology strategy throughout the business. Designing and customising technological systems and platforms to improve customer experience.
A BSc. Degree or equivalent NQF Level 7 qualification in Computer Science or relevant field
Post Graduate Qualification in Computer Science.
A minimum of 10 -12 years’ experience in business management.
12 plus years’ experience in an IT environment

Transforming IT teams to business enablement partners
Examine the costs, value and risks of information technology to advise management and suggest actions.
A solid understanding of business processes and how to apply a variety of technologies to strategies and operations.
Responsible for IT projects that both save costs and generate profit for the company, managing everything from the organization’s communication systems to planning for the company’s broader IT direction.
Forge relationships with key customers, suppliers, regulatory authorities to maintain a high business profile to establish Innovation Group’s as a South African market leader.
Ensure effective interface between the technology team, Group team and Operating Units to maintain the quality of service provided.
Communicates with other executive members to make sure all parts of the company use technology in the best ways possible
Manage the relationships with Internal stakeholders
Consult with and assist computer operators or system analysts to define and resolve problems in running computer programs.
Coordinate with technology teams to ensure successful integration of front-end and back-end technologies.
Ensure on time delivery of projects.
Understand and communicate the applicable data privacy practices and laws.
Prepare reports on the status, operation and maintenance of system software for use by management.
Manage a team of staff members to ensure effective delivery of business unit objectives
Take accountability for performance for the area
Manage deliverables of a team assigned to a project
Manage the day-to-day workload of the team
Participate and contribute to a positive company culture
Create a culture of ownership and accountability throughout the organisation in support of our values
Manage attendance and productivity adherence requirements in line with acceptable business rules and policies
Establish and maintain a succession plan for the team
Interview and recruit new members of the team, including determining appropriate compensation levels with input from Human Capital
Approve leave requests for team members and create leave plan to ensure adequate coverage
When required, initiate disciplinary processes for team members calling on support from Human Capital when required
Resolve grievances raised by team members and escalate only if required
Address poor performance of any team member through the formal Performance Improvement programme and ensure that continued poor performance is appropriately dealt with
